Opened in 1996, this award-winning Johnny Miller Signature Design 18-hole golf course stretches across 710 acres of desert landscape against a backdrop of red sandstone cliffs, rolling dunes, black lava beds and rugged arroyos. Entrada is currently rated Utah's top year-round private golf course, number 5 overall for Utah by Golf Digest.
Opened in December 2000, the Sports & Fitness Center is equally impressive with 13,000 square feet of the latest fitness equipment, aerobic classes (pilates, yoga, etc.), tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, outdoor basketball, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, as well as spa services that include massage, body treatments, facials, and nail treatments.
In 2004, Troon Golf was selected as Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club's property management company. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon Golf is the world's largest golf management company, overseeing operations at properties located in 31 states and 26 countries. Additionally, 38 Troon Golf facilities enjoy a Top 100 ranking by national or international publications.
The dramatic 22,000 square foot main clubhouse, opened for member use in May 2005, is the focal point of all Club activities. The clubhouse is the masterpiece of award-winning architect William Zmistowski Design Group of Boulder, Colorado.
Ahead of schedule by four years, Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club became private in April, 2006.
Entrada was named Clubhouse of the year in 2007 by Golf Inc.
Entrada, also fictitiously known as Lava Springs Country Club, was made famous when Disney chose Entrada to be the location for the filming of High School Musical 2, which took place in the spring of 2007. The August 2007 premiere was seen by a total of over 18 million viewers in the United States, which is almost 10 million more than its predecessor, making it the highest-rated Disney Channel movie of all time. The movie stars stayed at The Inn, and many Entrada residents were extras in the film.
David McLay-Kidd leads a seven million dollar golf course renovation project at Entrada Snow Canyon Country Club. Construction of the golf course began December 1, 2020.
On February 1, 2022, Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club opened the front nine for play since the construction of the new golf course began in December 2020.
David McLay-Kidd's seven million dollar renovation project completes. On April 1, 2022, Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club celebrated the Grand Opening of its newly redesigned golf course. Members were able to play all 18 holes for the very first time in almost 2 years.
