Golf Leagues


Entrada Equity Members enjoy being part of the men's or women's golf leagues.  Each league has a governing committee that consists of club mangement and equity member participation.  League committees are responsible for attaining new members, player development, and organizing of club sponsored tournaments.

MEGA: The Men’s Entrada Golf Association (MEGA) is an equity men’s organization that plays every Thursday under various formats and promotes social friendships along with competitive golf. MEGA also sponsors a number of tournaments throughout the year for the enjoyment of its members.

ELGA: The vision of the Entrada Ladies Golf Association (ELGA) Board is to continue to promote an active interest in ELGA and to grow the league in numbers and participation.  ELGA meets every Wednesday for league play.




Golf Tournaments

  

Regarded as Entrada’s major golf tournament of the year is the Anasazi Invitational. The Anasazi Invitational is four-day action packed member-guest golf tournament. Two person teams battle it out over 5 nine-hole matches against those in their assigned flight. Flight winners then shoot it out in a Horse Race finale for the coveted Anasazi Championship Title. Over the course of four days members and their guests are treated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is not your ordinary golf tournament with meal services, Entrada adds special touches such as complimentary warm-up massages on the driving range, purchase credit at Entrada’s specially outfitted Taylor Made-Adidas store, swag bags, a fully stocked golfers lounge and evening entertainment.

 

 

The Coyote Cup Individual Match Play Championship wraps up the fall golf season at Entrada. 18-hole matches with single elimination are played over a competitive three days. Individual match play uses 100% of handicaps. Gross and net trophies are awarded for both men and women divisions.

Cleverly named the Prickly Pair, which is a common cactus found in Southern Utah, is the Couples Club Championship. This one day tournament kicks off the spring golfing season. Couple’s duke it out in a best ball format. Followed by a luncheon where gross and net trophies are awarded to the winning couple

The greatest honor an Entrada golfer can earn is the Club Championship title. Held each spring, the Prince Cup Club Championship, named after Entrada’s founder Frederick Prince, is a three day competitive golf tournament of men’s and women’s gross and net flights similar to the Masters. The event starts with a PAR 3 Challenge and Champion's Dinner, which the dinner menu is selected by the prior year’s gross champions. The following two days of play consist of 36-holes with accompanying breakfast or lunch.

Entrada’s Roadrunner Championship is a member vs. member tournament played in late May. Teams are comprised of two Entrada Equity Members. There is a men’s and women’s division. The two day event has a mixed format with the first day of play being a scramble and the following day a better ball. Two-person scramble- teams will receive 35% of player A’s handicap and 15% of player B’s handicap Better Ball- players will receive 90% of handicap. Gross and net trophies are awarded for both men and women divisions at the awards banquet.
